Calidou Coulibaly ( French: Kalidou Koulibaly ; born June 20, 1991 in Saint-Dieu-de-Vosges , France ) is a French and Senegalese footballer , defender of the Napoli club and Senegal's national team . Member of the 2018 World Cup .

Content
Club career
At the beginning of his career, Coulibaly played for the youth team of his native Saint-Dieux club, after spending 2 seasons in the amateur championship of France for the main team of this club, after which he joined the youth academy of the Metz professional club on July 1, 2009 [3] .
Metz
In Metz, Coulibaly was involved in games with the team under 19 years old, whom the Senegalese helped win the Gambardell Cup in the 2009/10 season, having beaten the Sochaux youth team in the finals on a penalty spot [4] . Before the start of the 2010/11 season , Coulibaly signed his first professional contract with the club for a period of 1 year. On August 20, 2010, in his match against Bath he made his debut for the team in League 2 [5] . On April 15, 2014, Kalidu scored his first goal for the Metz in a duel against Clermont [6] .
Genk
On June 29, 2012, Coulibaly transferred to the Belgian Genk by signing a four-year contract [7] . On August 23, 2012, Coulibaly made his debut for a new club in the UEFA Europa League match against Lucerne [8] . On August 26, in his match against Sylte Waregem , he made his debut in the Jupe League [9] . On December 23, in a duel against Anderlecht , Kalidu scored his first goal for a new team [10] . In 2013, Coulibaly helped the club win the Belgian Cup .
Napoli
In the summer of 2014, Calidou moved to the Italian Napoli . The contract was signed for four years, the transfer amount was 10 million euros. On August 31, in his match against Genoa , he made his debut in Serie A [11] . On August 19, Coulibaly made his debut in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round in which Napoli tied with Athletic Bilbao [12] On September 24, Coulibaly scored his first goal for the Neapolitans [13] . In 2014, Calidou won the Italian Super Cup as part of Napoli. In the summer of 2016, Coulibaly was actively interested in London 's Chelsea , but due to high monetary demands from the president of the Neapolitans, Chelsea refused to transfer and the player remained in Italy [14] . After closing the transfer window, Calidu extended the contract with Napoli until 2021. The amount of compensation amounted to 90 million euros [15] .
International Career
In 2011, Coulibaly was included in the application for the French youth team to participate in the youth World Cup in Colombia. In the tournament, he played in matches against the national teams of Colombia [16] , South Korea [17] , Mali [18] , Nigeria [19] , Portugal [20] and Mexico [21] .
In 2015, Kalidu received an invitation to speak for his historic homeland, Senegal, and accepted it. On September 8, in a friendly match against the South African national team, he made his debut for the Senegal national team [22] .
In 2017, Coulibaly took part in the African Cup in Gabon . At the tournament, he played in matches against the national teams of Zimbabwe [23] , Tunisia [24] and Cameroon [25] .
In May 2018, Coulibaly was called to the World Cup in Russia [26] . At the tournament, the Senegalese played all three matches of the qualifying stage against the Polish national team [27] , the Japanese national team [28] and the Colombian national team [29] , but as a result, Senegal left the tournament, giving way to the playoffs of the Japanese national team and Colombian national team [30] .
