Biography
Born January 1, 1934 in Salmoni, Greece.
In 1957 he received a diploma in philosophy from the University of Athens , and in 1963 he graduated from the theological school of the same university.
In 1964 he was ordained to the rank of deacon , and in 1965 - to the rank of presbyter, and from that time he worked in the editorial office of the journal Φωνή Κυρίου.
He was elected on July 13, 1974, and ordained bishop and elevated to the rank of Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis on July 14 [1] .
On April 26, 2004, he was elected administrator of the Thessaloniki Metropolis.
In September 2015, he opposed the mass migration of Muslims to Greece [2] .
In November 2018, he stated in a video that there are no other celestial bodies besides the Earth, urging modern scientists to ignore [3] .
