Prize named after A.E. Fersman

The AE Fersman Prize is a prize awarded since 1946 to the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and the Russian Academy of Sciences . Awarded by the Department of Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry and Mining Sciences for outstanding scientific work on mineralogy and geochemistry.
The prize is named after the Russian geochemist and mineralogist, one of the founders of geochemistry, A. E. Fersman .
