Sherstyanoy, Valery Mikhailovich

Valery Mikhailovich Sherstyanoy ( German: Valeri Scherstjanoi ; born September 3, 1950 ) is a Russian and German philologist , poet , and publisher . The author of “phonetic” (“sonorous”) poems and studies on the Russian poetic avant-garde .

Biography

Valery Sherstyanoy was born on September 3, 1950 in a Soviet concentration camp in Kazakhstan . Mother is a repressed Lithuanian .

He graduated from the Romano-Germanic department of the philological faculty of Kuban State University .

In 1979 he emigrated to Germany . In the 1990s, he organized several international phonopoietic festivals "BOBEOBI" in Berlin.

In 1998, he published in Vienna a book of his translations into German, Tango mit Kuhen. Anthologie der russischen Lautpoesie des 20.Jahrhunderts (“Tango with cows. Anthology of Russian sound poetry of the 20th century”).

Publisher of collectible (about 20 copies) manuscripts modeled on Russian futuristic books, CDs and videos with recordings of “phonetic” (“sonorous”) poetry.

Woolen poetry is included in the anthology "Roku reproach" ( Moscow , 2003).
