Description

The length of the river is 151 km, the basin area is 3865 km². This is a typical low-lying river with a very low fall. At its narrowest point, the river bed has a width of 6 m. At its widest point, near the village of Motkowice , the width is 79 m. The depth of the river ranges from 0.4 to 2.6 m. This is one of the warm Polish rivers. The water temperature in summer reaches + 27 ° C.

The name "Nida" also has the river Vkra in its upper reaches.

River Valley

The Nida River Valley is a geographic region in southern Poland, which extends 65 kilometers in length and 6 kilometers in width. The lower part of the valley is flat and humid, peat stands in several places of the former elders . The valley has a large number of meadows and pastures , its main urban center is the ancient Lesser Poland cities of Pinczow , Wislice and Nowy Korczyn .
