In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Shapshinsky volost of the 1st camp of the Lodeynopolsky district of the Olonets province .

From 1917 to 1922, the village was part of the Varbinsky village council of the Shapshinsky volost of the Lodeinopolsky district of the Olonets province.

Since 1922, as part of the Leningrad province .

Since 1927, as part of the Lodeinopolsky district. In 1927, the population of the village was 344 people [4] .

According to 1933, the village of Pechenitsy was part of the Varbinsky village council of the Lodeinopolsky district [5] .

Since 1956, as part of the Shapshinsky Village Council.

In 1961, the population of the village was 94 people [4] .

According to the data of 1966 and 1973, the village of Pechenitsy was also part of the Shapshinsky Village Council [6] [7] .

According to 1990, the village of Pechenitsy was part of the Imochensky village council [8] .

In 1997, 14 people lived in the village of Pechenitsy of the Imoceni volost, in 2002 - 28 people (all Russians) [9] [10] .

In 2007, 5 people lived in the village of Pechenitsy of the Yanega joint venture , in 2010 - 14 people [11] [12] .

Geography

The village is located in the north-eastern part of the district on the highway 41K-639 ( Kombakovo - Shapsha - Pechenitsy).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 28 km [10] .

The distance to the nearest railway station Lodeynoye Pole is 63 km [6] .

The village is located on the eastern shore of Lake Pechensky .
