History
The first written mention of the settlement of Skalka dates back to 1320. From 1492 it is known under the name Frydlant (Friedlant). In the 1930s, there were about 1,650 inhabitants in the city.
In 1950, the name of the city was changed from Frýdlant nad Moravicí to the current Brgidlichna.
