History
The Geological Museum was founded in Tashkent in 1926 at the initiative of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Geology and Mineral Resources [1] .

Exposition
The museum exhibits more than 32,000 exhibits related to modern areas of geology [2] . The museum presents a variety of minerals, precious stones, metals, archaeological and paleontological finds. The museum consists of 12 rooms, which cover the following topics [3] :
- Mineralogy ;
- History of geology of Uzbekistan ;
- Paleontology ;
- Ancient mining;
- Geological exploration of the Kitab Nature Reserve
Museum Activities
Conducting educational school excursions , lecturing in order to improve the skills of geologists The museum acquaints with the achievements of Uzbekistan in geological exploration , and also popularizes geology among the country's population.
