Geography
The village is located 14 km north-east of Starodub on the left bank of the Pronka River at the confluence of the Bruek River.
History
In 1663, the Gridenki entered the Starodub Regimental Hundred. In the second half of the 17th and early 18th centuries, most of the local residents belonged to the Cossack class. In the first half of the 19th century. the village became the center of the Gridensky Cossack parish. The peasant population from the middle of the 17th century. attributed to Starodubsky magistrate. In the second half of the 19th century. Gridenki - as part of the Yatskovichi parish. Villagers were parishioners of the Intercession Church of the village of Melensk . The maximum number of the population was recorded in 1892 - 720 people of both sexes.
In the middle of the XX century. acted collective farm "Work way". In 1965-1986 Gridenki belonged to Yatkovichi village council.

Infrastructure
One of the largest farms of the Bryansk region works in Gridenki - FE “Pucko L. I.”. July 11, 2014 at its base was held the annual agricultural holiday Field Day of Bryansk.
