Biography
Born May 1, 1924 in the village of Leonovo, Moscow Region. He took part in the Great Patriotic War . [one]
From 1943 to 1949 he studied at the First Moscow Medical Institute . After graduation, he entered graduate school. In 1952 he defended his thesis on the topic: "Forensic medical assessment of damage to the organ of hearing." He worked at the department as an assistant then, since 1961, assistant professor. In 1957-58 he was on a business trip in Albania, where he organized the Department of Forensic Medicine at the University of Tirana [2] [3] .
In 1961-66 he taught at RUDN University . In 1963 he defended his doctoral dissertation. The following year, he became head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at the First Moscow Medical Institute. In 1979-95, he served as director of the Research Institute of Forensic Medicine of the USSR Ministry of Health and the Chief Forensic Expert of the USSR Ministry of Health. In 1982 he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR [3] [2] .
He was a member of the editorial board of the journal “Forensic Medical Examination”, served as editor of the editorial department of “Forensic Medicine” of the Big Medical Encyclopedia, chairman of the Interdepartmental Council for Forensic Medicine, was a member of the presidium of the Scientific Medical Council of the USSR Ministry of Health and a member of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry Russian Federation [3] [2] .
He died on August 6, 2010 as a result of a serious illness [3] .
Contribution to Science
The author of more than 300 scientific papers and 30 monographs [3] [2] .
Awards and Prizes
He was awarded the VDNKh Diploma of Honor for the work “Medical deontology and the responsibility of medical workers”. In addition, he was awarded a number of medals of orders, medals, diplomas, badges, and diplomas [3] .
