“Periwinkle” ( Ukrainian: Barvinok ) is a monthly Ukrainian literary and art magazine for young and middle-aged children. The name of the magazine comes from the name of the eponymous vinca plant.

Content
History
It arose on the basis of the Zhovtenya magazine (Oktyabryonok), published in Kharkov in 1928 - 1941 . Since April 1945 it was published in Kiev under the name "Periwinkle". Before the collapse of the USSR, it was an organ of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Ukraine and the Republican Council of the All-Union Pioneer Organization . In 1950 - 1999 , it was duplicated in Russian . In the 1970s and 1980s, it published over 2 million copies, in 1996 - over 60 thousand copies, and in 2011 - 20 thousand copies.
In 1978, the Central Committee of the Komsomol founded a prize named after Alexander Kopylenko for the best works for children, published in the magazine "Periwinkle".
