According to the 2010 census [1] , 156,813 residents of 63,054 households and 41,585 families live in the okrug. The population density is 106.60 people per km 2 . On the territory of the district there are 76,922 residential buildings, with a building density of about 52.30 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 78.30%, African Americans - 15.30%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 1.60%, Asians - 0.50%, Hawaiians - 0.10%, representatives of other races - 1.80 %, representatives of two or more races - 2.40%. Hispanics accounted for 4.50% of the population, regardless of race .
As part of 29.60% of the total number of households , children under the age of 18 live, 47.80% of households are married couples living together, 13.60% of households are single women without a spouse, 34.00% of households households are not related to families , 0.00% of households consist of one person, 0.00% of households consist of the elderly (65 years and older) living alone. The average household size is 2.43 people and the average family size is 2.98 people.
The age structure of the district: 23.40% under the age of 18, 8.50% from 18 to 24, 23.20% from 25 to 44, 28.60% from 45 to 64, and 28.60% from 65 and older.
