Game career
He started playing football in Kovel, Volyn region. In 2008, he moved to the Lutsk Volyn Academy. After completing the training, he was enrolled in the youth team of the Luchans. He made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on April 6, 2013 in a away game against Metalist (0: 1) [1] , replacing Sasha Stevich in the 80th minute [2] . After the match, the football player commented on his game, “I am very pleased to make my debut, it’s good that Anatoly Vasilievich released me. To be honest - I did not expect this. It was already pleasant that I was on the list of eighteen. And only the coaches and fans can evaluate the game, the debut ... To be honest, I was not nervous. I myself was surprised, but entered the game, gave a pass, one, the second, received, the older guys helped, Sergey Siminin suggested - and all the nerves passed ” [3] . The head coach of Volyn Anatoly Demyanenko expressed himself after the match in an interview about Khomchenko’s debut as follows: “He’s a gifted guy. ... we are trying to pull up the youth. Pryndet also played - he is the 93rd year, and Khomchenko is the 94th year ” [4] .
Soon after the debut at the highest level, Khomchenko was called by the coach of the youth team of Ukraine under 19 Yuri Moroz to the training camp of yellow and blue in preparation for the elite round of Euro 2013 [5] .
In the summer of 2014, he was watched by the Poltava FC First League team [6] .
February 28, 2019 Carpathians made Khomchenko in the application for the second half of the season 2018/2019 [7] .
