Geography
The village of Khripan is located in the northern part of the Ramensky district, about 4 km north-west of the town of Ramenskoye . Altitude 128 m [3] . The Khripan River flows near the village. The village has 32 streets and one driveway [4] . The nearest settlement is the suburban village of Kratovo .
Title
At the end of the XVIII century it is referred to as the village of Khripova, Khripan , in 1852 - Shemyakino (Khripol) , in 1862 - Khripan (Shemyakino) , in 1890 and 1912. - Khripan , in 1926 - Khripanovo , later the name Khripan was fixed.
The names Shemyakino and Khripan are associated with non-calendar personal names Shemyak and Khrip [5] .
History
In 1926, the village was the center of the Khripankovsky village council of the Bykovsky volost of the Bronnitsky district of Moscow province [6] .
Since 1929 - a settlement in the Ramensky district of the Moscow district of the Moscow region [7] .
Before the municipal reform of 2006, Khripan was part of the Vyalkovsky rural district of the Ramensky district [8] .
Population
In 1926, 477 people lived in the village (266 men, 271 women), there were 99 households, of which 95 were peasant [6] . According to the 2002 census , 450 people (209 men, 241 women) [9] .
