Biography

Born on August 7, 1990 in the city of Gusev, Kaliningrad Region. In 1997, he began boxing at a local boxing school. His first coach was Mikhail Anisimov. He performed in the category up to 64 kg, was the winner of many tournaments. At the age of 19, he left boxing due to the unfair attitude of the judges to himself.

Soon he moved to Germany. At the age of 20, he resumed training as a professional boxer. Acts in the category of 66.7 kg. He spent 15 fights, won 14 victories, 10 of them by knockout.

On April 19, 2013 in Germany, he won the vacant IBF Junior Champion title, defeating Nelson Pilotti from Argentina by TKO .

June 8, 2013 in Luxembourg won the vacant title of Intercontinental Champion according to the World Boxing Federation , knocking out Nasser Atumani from Kenya [1] .

On February 1, 2014, in Monaco, he became WBA Continental Champion, winning by unanimous decision from Dean Burn of Ireland [2] .

November 15, 2014 in Kempton Park , a fight between Roman Belaev and Ali Funeka from South Africa for the IBO welterweight world title . In round 10, Belaev received a cut, because of which, after the 11th round, the doctor stopped the fight and the African title went to champion [3] .
