Biography

Vladimir Andreevich Pazdzersky was born on April 25, 1934 in Tashkent. His father, who graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Oriental Languages, in the thirties was sent to work in Central Asia.

Vladimir Andreevich studied at school number 50, which he graduated with a gold medal. From an early age he was attracted to the stars, and therefore, after graduating from school, Pazdzersky entered the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the SAGU , the department of astronomy. However, when Vladimir Andreevich was still in his third year, the department of astronomy was closed, and then he moved to the department of theoretical physics, which he brilliantly graduated from. He was asked to remain in the department as an assistant.

In 1961, V. A. Pazdzersky and his friend and colleague Khatam Vakhidovich Valiev, as young and promising specialists, were sent to Moscow for an internship at the Physics Institute of the Academy of Sciences (FIANe) of the USSR. Here they listened to reports at the famous seminar of Lev Davidovich Landau , and also attended other seminars in physics and looked for leaders for scientific work. Vladimir Andreevich found himself a supervisor in the face of the famous theorist V. Ya. Feinberg . The first works of V. A. Pazdzersky under the direction of V. Ya. Feinberg were devoted to the problem of the interaction of pions with deuterons and the photoproduction of pions, which was currently topical.

Vladimir Andreevich carried out his scientific theoretical research in this area of physics without interruption from work at the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Tashkent State University as a teacher. In 1962, at the academic council in FIAN (Moscow), on the basis of these studies, he defended his dissertation work for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

In 1993, V. A. Pazdzersky at the specialized council on theoretical physics of the Tashkent State University successfully defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

At the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Tashkent State University Vladimir Andreevich read almost all modern courses on the specialization of theoretical physics. He was a brilliant lecturer, with a keen sense of humor and a deep understanding of the subject being read to students. It is especially worth noting that he has been teaching quantum mechanics at the physics department of the Tashkent State University for over 40 years. He was distinguished by a deep, thoughtful approach to his work, the broadest erudition, clear, competent speech and a very kind attitude towards his students - physics students. His lectures never left the students of the Physics Department indifferent, so the students were always attracted to him until his last days.

At the Department of Theoretical Physics, Tashkent University, he created his own scientific school. Vladimir Andreyevich Pazdzersky devoted his entire adult life to the development of theoretical physics in Uzbekistan and trained many specialists who are currently working both in Uzbekistan and around the world, far beyond the borders of Uzbekistan.

For his many years of fruitful work in educating the younger generation of physicists in Uzbekistan , in 1997 he was awarded the government award of Uzbekistan - “Honored Mentor of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan” [1] .

Vladimir Andreevich Pazdzersky died on September 3, 2004 in Tashkent and was buried in Tashkent at the Botkinsky cemetery .
