Geography
The village of Verkhovyna of the municipality “ Tugulymsky urban okrug ” is located 18 kilometers east-northeast of the village of Tugulym (along the highway 25 kilometers), in the valley of the Small Karmak river (the left tributary of the Pyshma river) [2] .
History
The village received its name, presumably due to its presence in the upper reaches of Karmak. Verkhovino was founded by Mikhail Vlasovich Tishensky, a peasant from Veliky Ustyug , in 1680 (or 1670). In 1700, 32 men in 14 yards lived in the village. In the early 1900s, there were about 80 houses in Verkhovino.
In 1885, the first railway in Siberia was laid near the village.
In 1929, the Victory collective farm was organized, combined in 1958 with the Oktyabrsky state farm. In 1957, a kindergarten was built, and in 1966 - a secondary school. In 1964, a hospital was opened with a hospital for 20 beds, during the restructuring, the hospital was reduced. From the late 1940s to the mid-1970s, a brick factory worked with the village.
In 1970, the village of Verkhovino became a village. In the 1980s, several semi-detached bricks and one 16-apartment two-story house and a kindergarten were built.
November 1, 2007 the kindergarten "Sun" with 55 seats was opened. In the same year, a fire station ПЧ-238 was organized in the village, reassigned a year later ПЧ-13 Tugulyma.
Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Small Karmak River in the southwest of the Sverdlovsk Region, 40 kilometers west of Tyumen . To the regional center - Tugulyma - 23 kilometers (10 in a straight line), to the center of the region - Yekaterinburg - 291 kilometers (262 in a straight line).

Transportation
On the southern outskirts of the village, on the Bogdanovich - Tyumen railway line, a 2102 kilometer platform is located. Up to 6 trains per day stop on the platform [5] .
