Koei [1] ( 康 永 ko: hey ) is the motto of the reign ( nengo ) of the Japanese emperor Kome from the northern dynasty [2] [1] , used from 1342 to 1345 [1] [3] .

Origin
The name Nengo was borrowed from the classical ancient Chinese composition Hanshu : 「海内康 平 、 永保 国家」 [3] .
