Emigration

In the late 1960s, Ford began work on a film about Janusz Korczak , but the project was closed under pressure from anti-Semitic forces [2] (Ford managed to implement it later). In the midst of the political crisis of 1968, he was fired from his job and emigrated to Israel , then to Denmark and the USA . The film adaptation of Solzhenitsyn ’s novel “In the First Circle”, despite the participation of Elzhbety Chizhevskaya and Olga Chekhova , was met with criticism negatively; Alexander Isaevich condemned her [1] . And other Ford films, shot abroad, were not successful with the public and criticism. He committed suicide in a hotel in a resort town of America called Naples .
