Biography

He graduated from the Literary Institute named after A. M. Gorky in Moscow. He worked as a teacher in the highland regions of the republic, as the editor of the Avar editorial office of the Dagestan book publishing house.

A member of the USSR Writers 'Union since 1967, he was a member of the Board of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Dagestan. The works are dominated by lyrical-philosophical and historical works.

The literary debut took place in 1959 in the republican newspaper Krasnoye Znamya and the anthology Druzhba, published since 1961 in Dagestan publishing houses, in collective collections of young Avar poets Young Voices, Talking Streams and others. The first poetry book in the Avar language “Snowdrop” was released in 1965 in the Dagestan book publishing house. Following this, collections of his poems and poems were published: “The Night Lamp” (1966), “The Eagle on the Rock” (1968), “Sea Wave” (1971), “Mountains Above the Clouds” (1973), “In the Mountains” ( 1975), The Series (1978), Droplets (1981), Poems and Poems (1982), Swallows on Wings (1985).

The poet was the author of several collections of poems for children: “Forest Tales” (1972), “Forest Melodies” (1974), “Fiery Hearts” (1978), “Forest Secrets” (1983). He wrote the tragedy of "Mahmoud from Kahab-Roso" and "Kamalil Bashir". Dramatic works of the author entered the book "Legends of Love" (Dagknigoizdat, 1988). The book of his poems "The Eagle's Pen" (Contemporary, 1985) was published in Moscow. In 2004, a book of selected works of the poet in the Avar language was published in the Dagestan book publishing house.

In 1974, for the tragedy "Mahmud", staged on the stage of the Avar Music and Drama Theater, the poet was awarded the Republican prize DASSR them. G. Tsadasy, he was also the winner of the public literary award named after. Mahmud from Kahab-Roso.

In recent years, he lived in his native village of Tlaylukh, where he created a literary museum in his own house.
