River Deep Mountain High is a studio album by American rhythm and blues duo Hayk and Tina Turners . The album contained songs from several sources: five songs created by legendary producer Phil Spector and seven songs that were old recordings of Ike Turner himself . The album was released at the end of 1966 by London Records exclusively for the American market. In 1967, Spector produced and released the single “I'll Never Need More Than This,” which was later added to the album instead of one of Ike Turner's tracks. This version of the disc was released in 1969 via A&M Records.
