Biography
Born on August 26, 1930, in the village of Verkhnyaya Maktama, Almetyevsk District, Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
In 1954, after graduating from the Kazan Institute of Chemical Technology , Zakaria Zufarovich began working at the Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant named after Kirov, where he went from the master of the workshop to the general director of the association [1] , holding the position of director for almost 30 years [2] . As a director, Safin paid attention to training personnel, introducing the results of scientific and technological progress, and increasing production efficiency. So for 1976-1985, 55 new technological processes were introduced at the plant, 46 types of new products were mastered, including 35 for the first time in the industry. For the indicated merits of Zakaria, Zufarovich Safin was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor in 1986.
He died in 1994 . At the administrative building of the Kazan Scientific and Production Association "Synthetic Rubber Plant named after S. M. Kirov » Z. Z. Safin was installed a memorial plaque with the text in the Tatar and Russian languages. [3]
Rewards
- By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1986, Zakaria Zufarovich Safin was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."
- He was also awarded the Orders of the October Revolution and the Badge of Honor, and medals.
