Kajetan Sufczynski (1807, Lankuhów - January 7, 1873, Puddle) - Russian and then Austrian Polish novelist.

Born in Lyulin region, in the family of governors Michal and Ludwika Ostrovskaya; came from a gentry clan. His father's name was Michal. In 1825-1827 he studied at the PR school in Zoliborz [1] . He was a participant in the November uprising (since 1830 he was an ally of Juliusz Slowacki), commanded the Guards of the Hill [2] , was an adjutant to Henryk Kaminsky and then married his daughter [3] . Until 1860 he lived in the Russian Kingdom of Poland, then moved to Austrian Galicia; according to some reports, he also took part in the January 1863 uprising [4] . He wrote stories, novels, the so-called "gentry tales."
Under the pseudonym Bodzaitovich published the historical novel Rodzina konfederatow, pan starosta Warecki (1856, 2nd edition - 1869); also wrote about Napoleon and Tadeusz Kosciuszko [5] . His small stories and stories were placed in the Warsaw Library. The most famous novels are Chwila zapomnienia (1868), Moje polskie i przygody żołnierskie (1871, 2nd edition - 1883), Opowiadania historyczne (1875), Zawsze Oni (1875, 3 volumes, 2- e edition - 1887) [6] .
