History
It was founded as a working village in 1922 by a migrant from the village of Lozovatka Sokolovsky, from whose name it got its name. In the 1930s, Sokolovka was an ordinary mining village with chaotic buildings. Residents worked in the mines and mines of Krivoy Rog. The settlement was most developed in the 1950-1960s. From 1922 to 1976, the Sokolovskoye cemetery with a total area of 1.48 hectares and 1140 graves [1] was in operation on the territory of the settlement.
Feature
Residential area of the private sector in the eastern part of the Pokrovsky district of Krivoy Rog, located on the left bank of the Kresovsky reservoir of the Saksagan river. In the southwest, Sokolovka is bordered by the historical district of the village of Stakhanov, in the south and southeast with 4, 5 and 7 Zarechny microdistricts. It has 15 private streets, where more than 1 thousand people live.
