HFS

HFS ( English Hierarchical File System , hierarchical file system) is a file system developed by Apple Computer for computers with Mac OS installed.

Description

HFS divides a volume into logical blocks of 512 bytes, one or more of which make up an allocation block . HFS is a file system with 16-bit addressing, so the size of the volume is limited to 65535 allocation block.
