Florence Eldridge ( born Florence Eldridge ; September 5, 1901 , Brooklyn, New York - August 1, 1988 , Long Beach, California) is an American theater and film actress. Nominee for the Tony Award for Best Actress in 1957 for her role in the Broadway production of Long Day to Night.

Born in Brooklyn, she was married to actor Fredrick March from 1927 until his death in 1975, and often appeared with him on stage and in the movies.
She died of a heart attack at the age of 86, was buried with her husband.
