Fictional Biography

Kent Shakespeare

The first character to be shown using the pseudonym Impulse was Richard Kent Shakespeare . This character first appeared in a flashback on the pages of the Legion of Super-Heroes vol. 4 # 53. [1] [2]

Bart Allen

Suffering from superfast metabolism, Bart Allen was aging faster than an ordinary person, which led him to look twelve in his two years. In order to prevent his mental health problems, he was placed in a mechanism that generates virtual reality , where the speed of time compensated for the growth rate of Bart. When it became clear that this did not help, his grandmother, Iris West , sent him back in time, now where Flash , Wally West , outwitted Bart in a race around the world. Forcing Bart to an ultrafast jerk, he returned his metabolism to normal. [3] Since Bart spent almost all his childhood in the simulated world, he did not have a sense of caution, and he first rushed into battle, and then thought. Bart's impulsiveness was too much of a problem for Wally, and he sent him to retired speedster Max Mercury, who, along with Bart, moved to Manchester, Alabama . Impulse # 50 shows how Batman actually calls Bart "Impulse", warning the young superhero more than giving him a compliment.

Iris West II

Iris West recently discovered that she and her brother share access to the Power of Speed, and decided to break this symbiotic connection by absorbing all the power into herself. Jesse Chambers, led by Johnny Quick, uses her Speed Formula to save Iris. Iris is taking on a new role along with the Impulse mantle since Bart has already joined the Young Titans as Kid Flash.
