Pushkina street is one of the central streets of Elista . An important transport artery connecting the northern and central parts of the city. Pushkin Street is one of the busiest in the city. In the houses there are catering establishments , shops of various kinds, state administrative and cultural institutions, offices of public organizations.

Location and amenities
Pushkin Street crosses the central part of the city from north to south. With a length of more than 1.5 kilometers, it originates from the intersection with Bimbaev and Darmaev Streets and ends with the intersection with Chonkushov Avenue and Budenny Street in Budenny Square [1] . The carriageway throughout the street is two-lane - one lane in each direction.
At the intersection with Lenin Street is the central square of Elista - Lenin Square [2] . On the stretch of street adjacent to Lenin Square , through traffic is not carried out.
From the beginning to the intersection with Republican Street , Pushkina Street intersects the center of Elista - quarters with medium and multi-story buildings. On the stretch from Republican Street to Chapaev Street, Pushkina Street intersects mainly low-rise private buildings. Further, the street divides the territory of the Republican Hospital named after Zhemchuyev and the 3rd microdistrict of the city.
Numbering is carried out from south to north: on the right side - odd buildings, on the left - even.

House of Soviets (Pushkin street, 11; located at the intersection with Lenin street ) Built 1928-1932. designed by architects Ilya Golosov and Boris Mittelman as a building for the regional Kalmyk committee of the CPSU (B.). An architectural monument of federal significance [4] . Since 1974 - a monument of architecture. Currently, the building houses the First Building of Kalmyk University .
