Born in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kiev province .
Since 1932 he worked at the Kirov Plant (Leningrad). In 1939 he graduated from the engineering college.
In August 1941, he was evacuated to Chelyabinsk together with the plant and since then worked at ChTZ: mechanic (1941-45), shop manager, senior foreman, head of the knurling mill (1947-58), site manager, design engineer, 1958 Adjuster of forging equipment.
As part of a team of specialists, he developed and introduced a new technological process for rolling large-modular gears, which gives significant savings in metal consumption and 16 times increased productivity. For this work in 1966 he was awarded the Lenin Prize.
