Grim Pajiti is a 1936 American film featuring various Bible stories featuring African American actors. Starring: Rex Ingram (several roles, including God ), Oscar Polk and Eddie "Rochester" Anderson. The film was based on the novel "Ol 'Man Adam an' His Chillun" by Rock Bradford (Eng. Roark Bradford) and on the play of the same name by Marcus Connelly , later became a Pulitzer Prize winner [1] . The film was criticized by civic activists at the time , but after became one of the six best Hollywood films of that era .
