According to the 2000 census [1] , 5,917 residents of 2,300 households and 1,557 families live in the okrug. The population density is 1.00 people per km 2 . There are 3 087 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of less than 1.00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 71.29%, African Americans - 0.12%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 2.06%, Asians - 0.46%, Hawaiians - 0.00%, representatives of other races - 23.00 %, representatives of two or more races - 3.08%. Hispanics accounted for 45.26% of the population, regardless of race .
