Tkachyshyn-Dytsky, Eugeniusz

Eugenius Tkachishin-Dytsky ( polish. Eugeniusz Tkaczyszyn-Dycki , November 12, 1962 , the village of Vulka Krovicek, near Lyubachuv ) is a Polish poet .

Biography

As the poet explained in the book Imię i znamię ( 2011 , s. 56), his father was an ardent Polish nationalist, and relatives on the maternal side during the war years were in the UPA , then belonged to the Ukrainian nationalist underground. The grandmother and mother were evicted during the operation of the Vistula from near Lyubachuv to Mazuria (Kruklyanka near Gizycko ), the mother who belonged to the Uniates adopted Catholicism . The family spoke a village Polish (the so-called hohlyatsky) language, the parents' past was not discussed.

Eugeniusz graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the University of Mary Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin . He lives in Warsaw .

Creativity and recognition

Lyrics of Tkachyshyn-Dytsky, in the development of the traditions of Polish Baroque ( Mikolaj Semp Shazhinsky ), uniquely combining magic and humor, were awarded the prizes of Barbara Sadowska, Kazimera Illakovich , the Gdynia Prize (twice), the Hubert Burda Prize for Young Poets ( 2007 ), etc.

In 2009 he became the winner of the largest literary award Nike .

The poems of Tkachishin-Dytsky were published in English, German, Italian, Slovenian languages.

In October 2013, in the framework of the international project, the Ambassadors of Poetry performed reading his poems in Moscow ( [1] ).
