Dingyan

Dingbyan ( Chinese: 定 边 , pinyin : Dìngbiān ) is a county in the Yulin city ​​district of Shaanxi Province ( PRC ). The county is named for the border fortification that existed here during the Song Empire.

History

Under the Western Han Empire, these lands were part of the districts of Xuyian (昫 衍 县) and Malin (马岭 县). Under the Eastern Han Empire, they ceased to exist, since these lands for a long time passed under the power of nomadic peoples.

During the time of the Eastern Jin Empire, the Huns created the Great Xia state here. In 427, North Wei troops captured this territory. In 488, Xingguo County (新 囶 县) was established in the eastern part of these lands.

Under the Sui Empire, Uyuan (五 原 县) and Loyuan (洛 源 县) counties were created in these places, and Changze County (长 泽 县) in the eastern part.

At the end of the Tang empire, the Tangut leader Toba Symi for helping suppress the uprising, Huang Chao received in 886 the rank of tzedushi of the Dinnan Military District (定 定 军), formed in these places. He managed to stay away from the turbulent events of the era of the Five Dynasties and 10 kingdoms, and after the unification of the country by the Song Empire, the next hereditary Tsedushi Li Jipeng in 1982 recognized the primacy of the new empire, but his younger brother Li Jiqian seized control of the Yinzhou region, and he recognized the authority Song then rebelled against her. In 1038, the grandson of Li Jiqiang, Li Yuanhao, proclaimed himself emperor of the state of Xi Xia , and these lands became part of the new state.

Under the Ming Empire, the Dingbian Military Camp (定 边 营) was established in 1435, and the Dingbian Military Camp (定 边 营 城) was built in 1562. Under the Qing Empire, in 1731, the administration of civil administration was introduced on these lands, and Dingbian County was created.

In 1935, these places were captured by the Red Army under the command of Liu Zhidan. Subsequently, the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Soviet District was formed on the territory controlled by the Communists, and the county became part of it.

After the founding of the PRC in 1950, the Yulin Special Region (榆林 专区) was created, and the county became part of it. In 1968, Yulin Special District was renamed Yulin County (榆林 地区).

In 1999, by resolution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Yulin County and the Yulin City County were disbanded, and the Yulin City District was formed.
