Story
The film takes place in the 1960s.
... The widow of Tamiko lives with her son and stepson. His own son, Jiro, is an unbalanced, impudent young man. He does not want to learn, he often runs away from home so as not to hear constant complaints from his mother, and disappears for several days.
Yuichi is the exact opposite of Jiro. An educated young man, he works successfully and never causes trouble to his mother. Tamiko treats him much better than his own son.
Yuiti's personal life did not work out. Three years ago, his bride died of an incurable disease, and he can not forget her. `
Friends, mother and brother want to find another bride for Yuiti, but he remains indifferent to their proposals.
And then one day, in the window of the box office of the cinema, Jiro saw Michiko. He did not believe his eyes! This girl's name was Mitsuyo - there is such a coincidence!
Jiro talked about her Natsuko, the elder sister of his friend Toru, who works as the editor of the advertising department. She invited the girl to take a series of photographs. The editorial director of Ryohei, father of the deceased Michiko, was amazed to see a girl so similar to his daughter.
They met at Natsuko’s house. Yuiti seemed to have returned to his former happy time. He became interested in young Mitsuyou and soon proposed to her. Moreover, Jiro insisted on this, who himself fell in love with the girl, but tried to suppress his feeling for the sake of his brother.
Mitsuyo refused Yuiti. She does not want this reflected happiness: after all, Yuichi loves not her, but her former beloved Michiko. Moreover, the girl has already fallen in love with another. She preferred him to an immediate, albeit reckless Jiro.
