Cinnamomum wilsonii (lat.) - a species of dicotyledonous plants of the genus Cinnamon ( Cinnamomum ) of the family Laurel ( Lauraceae ). First described by the British botanist James Sykes Gamble in 1914 [2] [3] .

A synonym is Cinnamomum wilsonii var. multiflorum gamble [2] .
Endemic to China , known from the provinces of Shaanxi , Sichuan , Hubei (hence the type specimen [3] ), Hunan , Guangdong , Jiangxi and from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region [4] [5] .
The tree is about 25 m high. The branches are cylindrical, dark brown in color (dry purple-brown) [5] .
The leaves are sinewy, gray-green on top and shiny green below, ovate or oblong-lanceolate; leaf arrangement alternate or opposite [5] .
Inflorescence is a single panicle with several flowers [5] .
It blooms in April and May, bears fruit in June [5] .
The dried bark of a plant is used in medicine to treat injuries, abdominal pain, and more. Olive branches and fruits contain essential oil, which is used to flavor food, soaps [5] .
