Musical talk

The area of musical dialects on the map of the distribution of the Aruminian and Meglenorumian languages [1]

Musical dialects (also a musical dialect ) are the dialects of the Arumian language , widespread in southwestern Albania along the Adriatic coast on the plain of Museke. Together with the Farsherot and Moscopol dialects , as well as the dialects of Gopesha, Mulovishte, Byala de Sus and Byala de Jos, they enter the North Romanian dialect zone , which is opposed to the South Romanian zone , including Gramostian , Pindian and Olympic dialects [1] [2] .

The musical distribution area is surrounded by the Albanian language range . On the plain of Musezek, populated by native speakers of museuvers, cities such as Vlore and Fier are located . The stripes and in the neighborhood with the speakers of the Musequer dialects are those of the related Farsherotic dialects , who make up the majority of the Arumian population in Albania, and partly the speakers of the Moscopil dialects . There are no clear dialectic boundaries between the musers and other Arumian dialects [1] [3] .

The native speakers of the museuvers have been singled out by the researcher of the Arumian language T. Papahaji into a special group - “museurs” ( rum. Muzăcheari ). By origin, the musicians are representatives of the Arumian “tribal branch” of the Farsherots who moved to southwestern Albania from the more eastern regions [4] .

According to the dialectal differentiation of the Arumian language, proposed by T. Kapidan, the museur dialects are included in the North Romanian dialect zone [2] .

Musical dialects are characterized by many dialectic features of the North Romanian dialect zone, including such important phonetic phenomena as [2] :

  • lack of juxtaposition of phonemes / ǝ / and / ɨ /;
  • transition diphthongs e̯a , o̯a to monophthongs : e̯a > ɛ , o̯a > ɔ ;
  • lack of non-syllable end vowels [ i ] and [ u ] in a number of positions.
