In the 1993 NHL draft, he was selected in round 2 under a common 35 number by the Dallas Stars team. March 19, 2002 traded at the New Jersey Devils . December 5, 2007 was elected team captain.
On January 8, 2011, he returned to the Dallas Stars after having been exchanged for the right to choose the Devils in the third round of the draft [2] . It was in Stars' sweater that Langenbrunner spent his thousandth match in the NHL. It happened on January 17, 2011. In that game, the hockey player also scored a goal - the first after returning.
Interestingly, immediately after Langenbrunner returned to the Dallas game, the recession came and the team was unable to get into the Stanley Cup playoffs. As a result, the Stars management decided not to sign a new contract with Langenbrunner, and as a result, on July 6, 2011, he entered into a one-year agreement with the St. Louis Blues team, which was renewed a year later by another year.
In 2013, the year of the 20th anniversary of the Dallas Stars franchise, Jamie was elected Dallas fans to the symbolic national team of all time [3] . Langenbrunner got a place in the second three of this symbolic team. In the winter of 2014, he announced his retirement.
