The son of the doctor of historical sciences Yakov Mikhailovich Kopansky and the doctor of chemical sciences Larisa Stepanovna Kopanskaya (nee Prince), co-author of the textbook “Analytical Chemistry of Semiconductors” (Chisinau: Shtiintsa, 1975). The dissertation of the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences on the subject “Dispersed dynamical systems defined by differential inclusions and the study of chain recurrence” was defended under the guidance of I.U. Bronstein (1985). [one]
Leading researcher at the Faculty of Mathematics and Cybernetics, State University of Moldova and the Laboratory of Differential Equations, Institute of Mathematics, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova. Major works in the field of dynamic systems, functional analysis.
