History
Denmark Championship 1954-1960
On January 29, 1955, at a meeting of the Danish Hockey Union , it was decided to hold the Denmark Ice Hockey Championship. On February 20, the first tournament started, in which two teams from Zeeland and a team from Jutland took part. All games were played on the same day. The first winner was the team " Rungsted " from the same city. The next year I had to go through a tournament between the same teams, but the club from Silkeborg, having won the Jutland Championship, could not come to the tournament due to weather conditions. Therefore, the championship was played by two teams from Copenhagen and Rungsted . The third championship of Denmark took place in the season 1959/1960, in which hockey players from Copenhagen won.

Danish Championships 1960-1985
The 1960/1961 season begins the history of the Danish Hockey League [1] . It was decided to create two divisions. In the first tournament of the First Division 4 teams played. HC Silkeborg took the last place and in the butt meetings lost to the winner of the second division. The KSF Copenhagen hockey players became the champion of Denmark for the third time. In the early and mid-60s, the Copenhagen hockey players dominated the Danish championship and won four times in the next five tournaments. Then, for 10 years, the champions were alternately KSF players Copenhagen and SF Gladaksa.

Danish Championship 1985β1998
In the 1985/1986 season in Danish hockey, thanks to an increase in the number of teams, changes occurred. The 1st Division became known as the Elitserie , the Second Division became the First Division of the Danish Hockey League and the Second Division was formed of the Danish Hockey League.
