Novodevichy cemetery is one of the most famous necropolises in Moscow. It was formed in 1898 along the southern wall of the Novodevichy Convent , where there is a noble necropolis of the XIX century . In Soviet times, it was the second most important cemetery after the necropolis near the Kremlin wall . Many graves of the Novodevichy cemetery are objects of cultural heritage.
