Zhenba

When the Tang Empire in 624, the southern part of Xixiang County was allocated to Yangyuan County (洋 源 县, “source of the Yanshui River”), but in 825 Yangyuan County was again annexed to Sisyan County.

Under the Qing Empire in 1802, the Dingyuan Commissariat (定 远 厅) was created there in 1802 to better administer the southern part of Xixiang County, so named because under the Eastern Han Empire, after the subjugation of the Western Territory, he was awarded the title of Dingyuan Hou (定 远, " the organizer of the distant ”) and received the inheritance in these places. After the Xinhai Revolution in China, the administrative division was reformed below the provincial level, and Dingyuan Commissariat became a separate Dingyuan county (定远县). Due to the fact that the county authorities settled in a village in the mountains of Dabashan, in 1914 Dingyuan County was renamed Zhenba.

During the civil war, this region was occupied by the troops of the Communists in December 1949. In 1951, the Nanzheng Special District (南郑 区 区区) was created, and the county became part of it. In October 1953, the Nanjeng Special District was renamed the Hanzhong Special District (汉中 专区). In 1969, the Hanzhong Special District was renamed Hanzhong County (汉中 地区).

In 1996, by a resolution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the Hanzhong district and the city of Hanzhong were disbanded, and the city district of Hanzhong was formed.
