Hantai

Hantai ( Chinese р 台 , pinyin : Hàntái ) is the urban subordination area of ​​the Hanzhong urban district of Shaanxi Province ( PRC ). History

In 451 BC e. the kingdom of Qin in these places was founded the town of Nanzheng (南郑). In 441 BC e. he was captured by the kingdom of Shu, in 387 BC. e. Qin returned him in 368 BC. e. he was again captured by Shu, in 316 BC. e. the kingdom of Qin destroyed the kingdom of Shu and returned Nanzheng. In 312 BC e. the kingdom of Qin defeated the army of the kingdom of Chu at the battle of Danyang, after which Hanzhong (汉中 郡) district was founded, whose authorities were located in Xicheng ; the area around Nanzheng became Nanzheng County (南郑 县), subordinate to Hanzhong County, and part of the modern Hantai District was part of Baozhong County (褒 中 县).

In 206 BC e. Xiang Yu made Liu Bang the Han prince (汉王), and Nanzheng became the capital of the principality. After the founding of the empire, Han Nanzheng again became a county subordinate to Hanzhong County. Under the Eastern Han Empire, in the year 30, the district authorities moved from Xicheng to Nanzheng. In 191, these places were captured by Zhang Lu , who renamed Hanzhong County to Hanning (汉 宁 郡). In 215, Zhang Lu was defeated by Cao Cao's troops, and Hanning again became Hanzhong.

In the era of the Three Kingdoms, these places became the scene of the struggle between the kingdoms of Wei and Shu. In 219, Liu Bei captured Hanzhong and declared himself the Prince of Han. In 263, the kingdom of Wei destroyed the kingdom of Shu and returned Nanzheng.

Under the Han Empire, Hanzhong County was part of Yizhou Province (益州). After the founding of the Jin Empire in 266, Liangzhou (梁州) Province was allocated from Yizhou, whose powers were located in Nanzheng. In 373, these places were captured by the troops of Early Qin, but in 384 they returned to Jin. In 413, the spelling of the name of Baozhong County was changed from 褒 中 县 to 苞 中 县.

In the era of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Nanzheng continued to be the seat of regional authorities at various levels, and Baozhong County was disbanded. In 504, North Wei recaptured Nanzheng from Liang. In 512, the northern part of Nanzheng County was allocated to Wuxiang County (武乡 县), the southwestern part to Lianshui County (廉 水 县), and Baozhong County (褒 中 县) was recreated. In 535, the Liang state again conquered these places, and Lianshui County was again annexed to Nanzheng County. In 551, these places came under the control of Western Wei, and in 554, Nanzheng County was renamed Guangyi (光 义县), and Wuxiang County was renamed Baiyun (白云 县). Under the Northern Zhou Empire, Hanzhong County was renamed Hanchuan (汉川 郡).

Under the Sui Empire, the name of Nanzheng was returned to the county of Guangyi in 581, and the county of Baozhong was renamed Baonei (褒 内 县). In 583, Hanchuan County was disbanded, and Hanzheng County became subordinate to Liangzhou (梁州), but soon Liangzhou County was disbanded and Hanchuan County was re-established, and Baiyun County was annexed to Nanzheng County. Under the Tang Empire, in 618, Hanchuan County was again disbanded and the Liangzhou Region was created, whose powers were located in Nanzheng. In 620, the northern part of Nanzheng County was again allocated to Baiyun County. In 626, Baiyun County was annexed to Cheng County (城固 县). In 629, Baonei County was renamed Baocheng (褒 城县). In 784, the Liangzhou region was elevated in status, and became the Xingyuan Council (兴 元 府); government bodies are located in Nanzheng, Nanzheng county received a status equal to the status of the capital county Chang'an.

Under the Song Empire in 1134, the southwestern part of Nanzheng County was again allocated to Lianshui County, but soon the Lianshui County was again annexed to Nanzheng County.

After the Mongol conquest and the establishment of the Yuan Empire, the country was divided into lu regions, and the Xingyuan government became the Xiyuan (西元 路) region, whose authorities were still located in Nanzheng. After the formation of the Ming Empire, the Siyuan region was transformed in 1370 into the Hanzhong Council (汉中 府).

After the Xinhai Revolution , a reform of the administrative structure was carried out, and in 1913 the councils were abolished.

During the Civil War, this region was occupied by Communist troops in December 1949. In 1950, the five villages that were part of Nanzheng County were administratively united in the city of Nanzheng, and volosts remained the county of Nanzheng. In 1951, the Nanzheng Special District (南郑 专区) was created, which included the city of Nanzheng and 11 counties. In June 1953, the city of Nanzheng was removed from the jurisdiction of the Nanzheng Special Region and became a city of provincial subordination. In October 1953, the Nanzheng Special Region was renamed the Hanzhong Special Region (汉中 专区), and the Nanzheng City was renamed the Hanzhong City. In 1958, the counties of Nanzheng and Baocheng were annexed to the city of Hanzhong.

In 1961, part of Hanzhong city south of the Han River was allocated to Nanzheng County. In 1963, Hanzhong again became a city of provincial subordination. In 1964, Hanzhong City was disbanded, and Hanzhong County was formed in its place.

In 1969, the Hanzhong Special District was renamed Hanzhong County (汉中 地区). In 1980, Hanzhong County was transformed into Hanzhong City.

In 1996, by decree of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Hanzhong County and the city of Hanzhong were disbanded, and the city district of Hanzhong was formed; the territory of the former Hanzhong city has become the Khan district of Hanzhong city district.
