The construction of Marshak Avenue as an unnamed street began in 2014 (no later than summer) as part of the Novaya Okhta residential community, which the LSR group is building on the site of the former agricultural fields of the Ruchey state farm. The name was assigned to him on October 3, 2014 [1] in honor of the children's writer S. Ya. Marshak . Then they named the streets of Daniil Kharms and Korney Chukovsky . The absence of the name Samuel in the toponym is due to the fact that, unlike Harms and Chukovsky, Marshak is a real surname, and not a creative pseudonym [2] . Initially, the toponymic commission of St. Petersburg proposed a different name - Buninsky Prospekt (in honor of the writer I. A. Bunin ), but LSR opposed this [3] .
The first three houses that received addresses on Marshak Avenue were put into operation on October 30, 2014: 12, building 2; 14, building 2; 14, building 3.
Marshak Avenue on the stretch from the Murinsky road to Daniil Harms street has a smooth turn, then the road to the Murinsky stream.
According to the data for January 2015, Marshak Avenue was built, lampposts were installed on it. However, it was not possible to open the movement due to the fact that "not all adjoining the Murinsky road are completed today." In addition, the land plot under the avenue was not transferred to the ownership of St. Petersburg [4] . In October 2015, the movement was already open. At the same time, the top layer of asphalt is not laid in a dead end near Murinsky Creek, and there is no intersection of Marshak Avenue and Murinsky Road. It is expected to complete the work in the second half of 2016 [5] .
In the future, Marshak Avenue will be extended to the south, for which it is necessary to build a bridge across the Murinsky Creek.
