History

The club was founded in 1973 with the team of physical culture of the production association "Kamgesenergostroy". In the first year of existence, the team took part in the draw of the Cup and the championship of the TASSR and won these honorable trophies. The following year, Turbina became the winner of the spring tournament of the strongest teams of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic for the prize of the Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil . A year later, participating in the Cup of the Volga region, "Turbine" again rises to the highest step of the podium and wins this trophy. In the following years, the footballers of the physical education team of the Kamgesenergostroy production association repeated their last year’s success. In 1976, to the previous titles, the Turbins footballers added the title of champion of the Volga Regions in competitions among production teams of physical culture held by the RSFSR Sports Committee. For two years in a row (1975, 1976), the team won the tournament for the prize of the republican newspaper Sovetskaya Tataria [1] . From 1977 to 1987 , for 11 seasons, Turbina took part in the zonal tournament of the second league championship of the USSR in football [2] . In the late 1980s , due to the success of the KAMAZ football club, Turbina ceded the status of the city’s main football team to the aforementioned club, supported by the car factory of the same name. Playing at the amateur level, "Turbine" existed until the early 2000s .
