Biography and career

In 1980 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Kiev State University. T. G. Shevchenko , worked as an intern in the district people's court of Kiev . In 1981 he was elected people's judge of the Minsk district people's court of Kiev, in 1986 - judge of the Kiev city court.

In March 1990, he was a judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, and in March in 2000 he was elected a judge of the same court indefinitely.

From December 1993 to December 2003 - Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

December 5, 2003 was elected Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine. Member of the Presidium of the Supreme Court of Ukraine - Chairman of the tender committee of this court.

Member of the editorial board of the journal “Bulletin of the Supreme Court of Ukraine”, employee of the periodical “Decisions of the Supreme Court of Ukraine”.

He taught at the Center of the Supreme Court of Ukraine for advanced training of judges and staff.

Since 1995, on the basis of a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, he was a member of the working group on the preparation of the draft Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine.
