Career
Amateur career
Franklin started playing football while attending Highland School in Palmdale . He later began playing on the University of California State Northridge Matadors , where he was considered the best quarterback in 2005 and 2006. Also, in his student years, he played for the San Fernando Valley Quays club for two years. During his speech, the club was able to enter the USL Premier League playoffs for the first time in 2007.
Professional career
Franklin was chosen by the Los Angeles Galaxy Club in the fourth round of the MLS Super Draft in 2008. He made his MLS debut on April 3, 2008 in a home game against San Jose Earthquakes . He was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award at MLS in the 2008 season.
Franklin missed most of the 2009 MLS season after a hamstring surgery [1] . December 23, 2011 signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy [2] .
In 2013, he joined DCC United .
International Career
In 2004, Franklin was called up to the U.S. youth team before 20 . Then, in 2007, in the U.S. youth team to 23 , where he played a full match against the Japanese youth team. The match ended with a draw 0-0.
The United States debuted on January 22, 2011 in a friendly match against the Chilean national team .
