According to the United States Census Bureau , the county’s total area is 15,451.955 km 2 , of which 1,398.601 km 2 are land and 14,053.354 km 2 or 91,000% are water bodies.
Population
According to the 2010 census [1] , the district has 2,156 residents of 1,013 households and 614 families . The population density is 2.00 people per km 2 . There are 2,467 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 2,00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 98.50%, African - Americans - 0.10%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.10%, representatives of two or more races - 1.20%. Hispanics accounted for 0.70% of the population, regardless of race .
In the composition of 16.80% of the total number of households , children under the age of 18 live, 52.40% of households are couples living together, 4.90% of households are single women without a spouse, 39.40% of households households are not related to families , 34.20% of households consist of one person, 15.00% of households consist of elderly people (65 years and older) living alone. The average household size is 2.12 people and the average family size is 2.71 people.
