History
The village of Rekinichi , consisting of 21 peasant households, is mentioned on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1844 [2] .
REKINICHI - a village near the Oyat River at its bay - the Old River, the number of yards - 32, the number of inhabitants: 80 m., 93 w. P.; Forge. (1879) [3]
The compilation of the Central Statistical Committee described it like this:
REKINICHI - a former owner's village, 30 yards, 184 residents; shop. (1885) [4]
The village belonged to the Mountain volost of Lodeinopolsky district of the Olonets province .
REKINICHI - a village by the Oyat River, peasant population: houses - 43, families - 39, men - 121, women - 120, total - 241; non-peasant: no; horses - 13, cows - 56, other - 19. (1905) [5]
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Zaostrovsky volost of the 1st camp of the Lodeynopolsky district of the Olonets province.
From 1917 to 1922, the village was part of the Reki village council of the Zaostrovsky volost of the Lodeinopolsky district of the Olonets province.
Since 1922, as part of the Leningrad province .
Since February 1927, as part of the Lunacharsky volost. Since August 1927, as part of the Pash district . In 1927, the population of the village was 269 people [6] [7] .
According to 1933, the village of Rekinichi was the administrative center of the Reki village council of the Pash district , which included 11 settlements: the villages of Barkovo, Vikshinga, Gorka, Karluha, Novinka, Marozovschina, Rekinichi , Simovichi, Uskolovo, Khvalevshchina, Chashkovichi, with a total population of 1,149 person [8] .
According to 1936, the Reki Village Council included 14 settlements, 353 farms and 7 collective farms, the village of Novinka was the administrative center of the village council [9] .
Since 1955, as part of the Novoladozhsky district .
In 1958, the population of the village was 89 people.
Since 1960, as part of the Domozhirovsky Village Council.
Since 1963, as part of the Volkhov district [6] [7] .
According to the data of 1966 and 1990, the village of Rekinichi was also part of the Domozhirovsky village council [10] [11] .
In 1997, 19 people lived in the village of Rekinichi of the Domozhirovsky volost, in 2002 - 29 people (all Russians) [12] [13] .
Since January 1, 2006, as part of the Wakhnovakarsky rural settlement.
In 2007, 22 people lived in the village of Rekinichi of the Vakhnovokarsky joint venture , and in 2010, also 22 [14] [15] .
Since 2012, as part of the Domozhirovsky rural settlement.
Geography
The village is located in the western part of the region north of the highway 41K-016 ( Station Oyat - Plotichno ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 12 km [13] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Oyat-Volkhovstroevsky is 7 km [10] .
The village is located on the right bank of the Oyat River .
