Eagle-Eye Lanu Cherry ( born Eagle-Eye Lanoo Cherry ; born May 7, 1967 , Stockholm , Sweden ) is a Swedish musician known for the single “Save Tonight” .

Life and career

Cherry was born in Stockholm in the family of jazz artist Don Cherry and artist Monica Cherry (née Karlsson). The stepbrother of singer Nene Cherry and singer Titiyo ^[1] ^[2] . When he was 12 years old, he went to study in New York , where he began to engage in acting and act as a drummer in various groups ^[1] . In 1988, he played the " teenager " in the movie " Arthur 2: Aground ." In 1993, he starred in the adventure series "South Beach" , which was released in the summer of that year on the NBC channel.

His father drew attention to what happened next. In 1996, Cherry returned to Stockholm to focus on music and acting, which had priority in his professional career ^[3] . He began work on his debut album Desireless , which he recorded in his home studio on an acoustic guitar ^[3] . According to manager Tommy Manzi, Cherry kept his album a secret until he completely completed work on it ^[3] . The album was a great commercial success - in 1998-1999, it was sold worldwide in 4 million copies and received platinum status in the United States.

In 1999, Cherry co-wrote and performed the song “Wishing It Was” with Santana for the Supernatural album.
