Title
There are several versions of the origin of the name of the village [2] :
- by the name of the first settler;
- from the word " kochet " - hens, rooster; also a) weather vane with a tin cock or image; b) a stake mounted on the side of the boat instead of an oarlock; Kochet or Kochet are also different columns in the transverse log on the baroque stern.
History
In official documents, Kochetovka was first mentioned in 1676 . This suggests that the village was founded in the second half of the XVII century [2] .
